Hi, bloggers Jasiah here with another blog post. Today everyone in the afternoon Tech group had to make an animation in the french language. we had to translate English into french. we had to have two people talking in french. do you know any other language?

 for Matariki we made a piece of art of Matariki step one we drew our design on a piece of a4 paper then when we did that we got a piece of a4 polystyrene then copied our design on the piece of polystrene.
We did that we rolled on some paint the paint I choose was green and purple I made two copies of that then I did one with re and orange than last but not least I did blue and purple and here a picture of my Matariki art.

efugee storyboard that

 

For literacy we have been reading Refugee by Alan Gratz.   We looked at the main character mahmoud, and picked 3 words to describe them.  I picked brave scared smart

For our create task, we had to use Storyboard that, and pick one of our describing words to storyboard.  We needed to think about what happened just before that scene, and just after and how we could show emotion in our characters face.

I decided to pick scared  I showed this through his family how he had to get in a van and get smuggled to turkey and get a boat to amrica

anzac Cove landing by the ANZACS

In literacy at the moment we are learning about WW1 and in particular, the role the ANZACS played in it.

We know that the ANZACS landed at ANZAC cove on April 25th, 1915.  They arrived by boat, and were greeted by a beach that was in chaos, steep, rugged cliffs and the Turks firing at them from the top of the cliffs.

Many men lost their lives that day, many never made it to the beach.  The ones that did were about to start a long journey filled with tears, despair and sadness.

This animation is to show the landing at ANZAC Cove.
